Elephant dung note holders are full of colour and character. Each one is hand painted by skilled artisans in Sri Lanka.
Note holders are made from 25% recycled paper and 75% elephant dung (– yes really!) and come in a range of colours. Inside each one are approximately 100 differently coloured unbound single pages and can be written on with the pen of your choice. Only natural dyes are used and the paper is acid-free. All the note holders are Fair Trade and handmade by skilled artisans at the Maximus Elephant Conservation Trust in Sri Lanka.
11 x 10cm Made from: 75% elephant dung and 25% recycled paper. Due to the handmade nature, the exact scene might vary slightly from the image. The process of making elephant dung paper is a little different from making regular handmade paper. The fibres are pulped by the elephant, instead of by hand or machine, whilst they are digesting, then the readymade pulp comes out the back!
